Around <strong>200 IT and security managers<\/strong> used the event to discuss current developments, regulatory frameworks and tried-and-tested security strategies. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Digital resilience under pressure: threats, regulation and practice<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Strategic Cybersecurity Day was dominated by an increasingly tense threat situation, growing <strong>regulatory requirements<\/strong> &#8211; particularly as a result of NIS2 &#8211; and the question of how organizations can strengthen their operational resilience in the long term.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The discussions focused, among other things, on<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the <strong>early detection of cyberattacks and system malfunctions<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>structured approaches to <strong>managing and recovering<\/strong> from security incidents,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>as well as <strong>authentic experience reports<\/strong> from companies that have gone through real cyber crises and developed resilient security strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program impressed with its <strong>consistent integration of theory and practice<\/strong>: in-depth expert knowledge met concrete application examples from everyday business life. The free participation &#8211; exclusively for professional IT users &#8211; underlined the event&#8217;s claim to create real professional added value. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our contribution: Security operations with substance and decision-making maturity<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a partner of the event, we were present with our own stand and held numerous high-quality discussions with decision-makers and specialist colleagues. The direct exchange once again confirmed the high demand for <strong>strategically sound, realistically implementable cyber defense<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A central element of our participation was our expert presentation by Felix Gutjahr, Managing Cyber Defense Advisor:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;Setting up a Security Operations Center &#8211; challenges and practical approaches&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on our <strong>experience from several successful SOC initiatives<\/strong>, we shed light on the reality behind the establishment and operation of a Security Operations Center. The focus was on <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>organizational, procedural, technological and personnel challenges,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>typical misconceptions and structural stumbling blocks,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>as well as <strong>pragmatic, tried-and-tested solutions<\/strong> from the field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also presented <strong>service-based alternatives<\/strong> to an internal SOC, explained common service models and defined key quality criteria for evaluating external SOC service providers.
